Itinerary

DAY 1:

Sacred Valley Discovery

We’ll grab you from your Cusco hotel at 7:00 am, then head straight into the Sacred Valley’s postcard-worthy scenery. Pick between two routes—both packed with cool stuff:

Option A: Pisac Route
First stop: Awana Cancha, a fuzzy alpaca farm where you’ll meet llamas, alpacas, and their wild cousins. Pet them, snap photos, and learn why they’re so important here.

Next, climb up to Pisac’s ruins—a maze of terraces and temples glued to a mountainside. Your guide will spill secrets about how the Incas farmed these crazy slopes.

Afterward, we’ll hit Pisac’s market. Think colorful blankets, handmade jewelry, and locals haggling like pros. Perfect for grabbing souvenirs!

Then it’s off to Urubamba for a lunch buffet piled high with Andean classics (think quinoa stew, roasted meats, and maybe even a cheeky corn dessert).

Finally, we’ll explore Ollantaytambo’s fortress—massive stone walls, hidden temples, and streets the Incas actually walked on. Wrap the day with a train ride to Aguas Calientes, where a hot dinner and a soft bed wait.

Option B: Maras Route
Start in Chinchero, a village where weaving isn’t just a craft—it’s an art. Watch locals spin wool into rainbows using plants and bugs for dye.

Then, Moray’s “crop circles” will blow your mind. These circular terraces were the Inca’s science lab for testing crops at different altitudes.

Next up: Maras Salt Mines. Thousands of white pools cling to the hillside like a patchwork quilt. You’ll learn how families still harvest pink salt here, just like their ancestors.

After lunch in Urubamba, we’ll hit Ollantaytambo’s fortress before hopping the train to Aguas Calientes. Dinner, hotel check-in, and sweet dreams of tomorrow’s big adventure!

Up before dawn! We’ll snag the first bus to Machu Picchu, hoping to watch the sunrise paint the sky over the ruins. If the mist clears, it’s pure magic—like stepping into a storybook.

Your guide will walk you through the highlights: the Sun Temple’s perfect stonework, the Main Plaza where ceremonies rocked, and the Condor Temple shaped like, well, a condor. Expect wild tales of kings, sacrifices, and why this place was abandoned.

After the tour, stick around to explore solo. Feeling brave? Add Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (extra $65)—steep climbs, but the views? Worth it.

When you’re done, bus back to Aguas Calientes for a lazy lunch or last-minute shopping. Then, train to Ollantaytambo/Poroy, where a van whisks you back to Cusco by 7:30 pm. You’ll be exhausted… but in that “best trip ever” kind of way.

This two-day combo serves up the Sacred Valley’s hidden treasures and Machu Picchu’s wow factor—no stress, just great guides, smooth logistics, and memories you’ll nag your friends about forever.
