Itinerary

DAY 1:

RECEPTION IN LIMA

AM or PM – Pick-up at Lima airport and transfer to the hotel.
The afternoon is free to relax at the hotel.
Overnight at a Lima hotel.

AM – Breakfast at the hotel.
At 9:00 AM, you will embark on a tour of the “City of Kings” visiting Lima’s Historic Centre. You will see the Plaza de Armas (the main square), Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s Palace among other sites. Later, there will be a walk to visit Lima’s oldest bar – Bar Cordano – and then the San Francisco Museum featuring 17th-century religious art, its remarkable library and mysterious catacombs filled with human bones. By the way, the tour continues to the Pueblo Libre district where you will visit the Private Larco Museum. Housed in an 18th-century mansion built on a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid, it displays over 45,000 original ceramic pieces including a famous collection of pre-Columbian erotic ceramics, a major draw for travelers. At 13:00, transfer back to the hotel.
The afternoon is free for personal exploration and to savor Peru’s rich cuisine.
Overnight at a Lima hotel.

At 5:00 AM, pick-up from your Lima hotel. You will travel 245 kilometers via the Panamericana Sur to Paracas, a coastal resort in Pisco Province (Paracas – approximately 0 m/0 ft). A brief stop in Chincha – where you might grab a typical local breakfast and use available services – is optional. The journey continues until arrival in Paracas at around 7:45 AM.
At 08:00 AM, departure for the Ballestas Islands aboard a motorized deslizador. Along the way, you will see the famous Candelabro, an immense petrographic figure on the Independence Bay of Paracas. For real, about 30 minutes out to sea you will observe the local marine wildlife including guanay and marine birds like the famous Peruvian Booby, Guanay cormorant, red-legged cormorant, shearwater, Peruvian pelican, Humboldt penguin, sea lions, and dolphins. After two hours of tour, you will return to the private port of Independence Bay.
From 10:00 to 10:30 AM, depart for Ica.
At 11:00 AM, visit the artisanal winery “El Catador” or “Nieto”, a national award winner. Here you will learn about traditional wine and pisco production and have a tasting session.
There is time for lunch.
At 16:30 PM, visit the Huacachina Oasis and Lagoon – a natural oasis located five kilometers west of Ica, surrounded by vast sand dunes and an emerald lagoon bordered by palm trees, introduced eucalyptus, and huarango trees that serve as resting spots for migratory birds. During this 1 hour and 30 minutes buggy tour – a favorite for those who enjoy speed, adrenaline and a gust of wind on the face – you will navigate up and down the largest dunes. After the tour, you will have time to stroll around the oasis and take photos.
At 18:30, depart Ica for Lima. Arrival is expected at approximately 22:30.
Overnight at a Lima hotel.

In the morning, transfer from the hotel to Lima airport.
Board the flight from Lima to Cusco (approximately 1 hour of travel).
Upon arrival, you will be received at Cusco airport and transferred to the selected hotel in Cusco, where you will be offered an aromatic coca tea to help adjust to the altitude.
At 14:00 PM, the City Tour begins: this tour includes a visit to the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), the main square, main streets, and the central market (San Pedro). It also includes visits to two nearby ruins – Sacsayhuamán fortress and “Kenko”.
At 18:00, transfer back to the hotel.
Overnight at a Cusco hotel.

AM – Breakfast at the hotel.
The tour of the Sacred Valley begins at 7:30 AM with hotel pick-up in Cusco. You will travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the typical market in Pisac – renowned for its artisan fair – and the archaeological site of Pisac with its scenic stepped terraces on the mountainside. The route then heads to the town of Urubamba where an optional lunch is available for an extra USD 20 per person. Later, visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, where descendants of the Incas still live in traditional Inca houses. Finally, proceed to the Ollantaytambo train station to catch the train departing at 15:37. The train journey takes approximately 2 hours to reach Aguas Calientes (approx. 2050 m/6730 ft), where you will check into the selected hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Overnight at an Aguas Calientes hotel.

Start the day very early after breakfast. Afterward, head to the station for the bus that takes you on a 30-minute ride to the Machu Picchu citadel. A guided tour of 2 hours will cover the main highlights of Machu Picchu. There will be free time afterward to explore further on your own – you might opt to hike to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) or the Inca Bridge. For real, an optional hike up Huayna Picchu is available at an extra cost of USD 70 per person.
When appropriate, descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch at one of the local restaurants.
In the afternoon, take the train back to Cusco. Be sure to be at the train station at least 30 minutes before departure. Upon arriving at Ollantaytambo station, a company representative will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by car).
Overnight at a Cusco hotel.

At 5:00 AM, a representative will pick you up from your Cusco hotel using private transport. You will travel towards the village of Cusipata-Paucarpata, passing through several small towns and enjoying impressive Andean views along the way – no kidding, the scenery is breathtaking. The journey takes around 2 hours.
Upon arrival, there will be a stop to enjoy a hearty breakfast and pick up necessary supplies for the tour. After this brief pause, the journey continues for about 40 minutes through landscapes marked by mysterious mountains and deep valleys.
You will reach the village of Phullawasipata at an altitude of 3700 m (12139 ft). From here, an uphill hike of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes begins towards the Rainbow Mountain, whose summit reaches 5100 m (16732 ft). At the top, you can appreciate impressive panoramic views of the Andes and the local wildlife.
The surrounding mountains display striking red hues and offer magnificent vistas of the valleys and the famed seven-colored mountain. There will be ample time for taking photos and videos. The descent will follow a detour towards the Red Valley – so seriously, this path is unique because you might be one of the few groups traveling it – and takes between 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes until returning to Phullawasipata, where transport awaits to take you for a well-deserved and tasty lunch.
After lunch, there is an opportunity to visit local family homes to observe traditional Inca lifestyle practices.
Later, you will return to Cusco, with an expected arrival around 17:00 PM, after which you will be dropped at your respective hotels, concluding the tour of the Rainbow Mountain.
Overnight at a Cusco hotel.

After a good breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the bus station. The bus tour lasts approximately 9 hours and includes 4 guided excursions along the southern high plateau. Visits include the Andahuaylillas temple – known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”, the Inca temple of Raqchi, and at midday in the city of Sicuani a buffet lunch is provided. The tour continues to the “Paso de la Raya” at 4335 m (approx. 14240 ft) and the Inca-Aymara museum of Pukara. Each stop lasts 20 to 40 minutes, allowing time for questions, photos, and short walks. Upon arrival in Puno, a representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight at a Puno hotel.

At 7:30 AM, transfer to the port of Puno (Lake Titicaca). Board a boat to visit the floating Uros Islands for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, where you can observe the customs and craftsmanship of the local people. Next, the boat will take you to Taquile Island, noted for its outstanding landscape, ethnic culture, and archaeological significance. After the tour, the boat returns to the port of Puno. You will then be picked up and transferred back to the hotel or, if preferred, dropped off in the center of Puno for further exploration.
Overnight at a Puno hotel.

At the scheduled time, pick-up from the hotel and transfer to Juliaca airport for your return flight to Lima, and then onward to your final destination. En route, there will be a stop to visit the Inca cemetery known as the Chullpas of Sillustani.
